I did not know that muskmelons have this kind of textured skin too until I saw this. I have seen only smooth skin muskmelons with green stripes.

Here some details about Muskmelons:

Muskmelon (Cucumis melo) is a species of melon that has been developed into many cultivated varieties. Cucumis is a genus of twining, tendril-bearing plants in the Cucurbitaceae family which include the cucumber, muskmelons, the horned melon, and the West Indian gherkin. Thirty species occur in Africa, and 25 occur in India, Southeast Asia, and Australia. Muskmelons have different varieties smooth-skinned varieties and different netted cultivars. The netted melon or muskmelon is usually called a cantaloupe. Muskmelon is native to Iran, Anatolia and the Caucasus, with a secondary centre including north-west India and Afghanistan.
