The Curry leaf plant is a tree or shrub. Murraya koenigii or Bergera koenigii is the scientific name of curry leaf plant. In Hindi, it is called Meetha neem (मीठा नीम). It only grows 13 to 20 feet in height. This plant is tropical to sub-tropical. It is native to India and Sri Lanka. It produces small fragrant white flowers that become small, black, berry-like fruits. The fruit is edible, but the seed is poisonous. Its leaves are aromatic.
